Interview
Marta García bounced back after yesterday's heartbreaking retirement by taking P2 in Race 2 in Round 4 at Zandvoort.
Before the race, García spoke about her disappointment from yesterday but was focused on brushing it from her mind and performing in Race 2:
"I was quite frustrated as I knew I had good pace. At first you think about the points and the Series standings, but today we have two races and starting P5 in Race 2 and P4 in Race 3, I think we can do some good overtaking.
"I think it doesn't make any sense to keep focusing on yesterday when it's gone already and you can't change anything. You just think about what is coming next."
Having navigated her way from P5 to a P2 finish, García was delighted to get same valuable points on the board:
"The Race went quite well! I knew I could do well and had the pace better than the other cars in the front. After the Safety Car I tried to have a good restart and overtake Carrie, but T3 is really difficult to overtake."
"I think after yesterday when I was running in P3 and everything went the way it did, it is good we got P2 from P5 and some good points as well."
Heading into Race 3 this afternoon, García starts in P4, and with her nearest rivals ahead of her, knows a good start is key:
"For Race 3 we start in P4, we need to have a good start and see if I can do well to gain some valuable points for the Championship."
