Following the conclusion of Race 1 at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, [Maya Weug](https://www.f1academy.com/Racing-Series/Drivers/36/Maya-Weug) has been handed a post-race penalty.

The Ferrari driver has been assigned a five-place grid drop for causing a collision after Weug collided with Amna Al Qubaisi at Turn 5 the opening lap, putting both out of the race.

The Stewards determined that the Dutch driver was wholly to blame for the incident. As a result, the penalty demotes her from P12 to the back of the grid for Race 2 on Sunday.
