Following the conclusion of Race 2 at the Yas Marina Circuit, Amna Al Qubaisi and Lola Lovinfosse have each been handed penalties for separate incidents.
Al Qubaisi has been issued a 10-second time penalty for causing a collision with Lia Block at Turn 12. The Stewards noted that the RB driver was not in control of her car on the approach to Turn 12 as she had locked up her brakes and that Block was ahead turning into the corner.
Consequently, Al Qubaisi was deemed predominantly to blame for the incident, but remains P13 in the final classification after the penalty was applied.
Lovinfosse was handed a five-place grid drop for causing a collision with Jessica Edgar and Aurelia Nobels at Turn 9. The Stewards determined that the Charlotte Tilbury driver overestimated the manoeuvre up the inside of Edgar, with Nobels also affected by the collision and was therefore, wholly to blame for the incident.
As a result, the penalty demotes her from P12 to the back of the grid for Race 3 on Sunday.
