Discover pathways to a career in motorsport

F1 ACADEMY DISCOVER YOUR DRIVE launched the Career Discovery Programme in 2024 to give students the opportunity to explore professional pathways into the motorsport industry. In cities where we race, we invite STEM students to apply to participate in a four-day educational program that reveals the range of job opportunities within the F1 ecosystem – both on and off track.

Students are assigned to an F1 ACADEMY racing team to learn about the inner workings of race operations and strategy. Students are also exposed to a variety of off-track roles and pathways including engineering, marketing, sponsorships, hospitality, broadcast journalism, event operations, community outreach, and logistics. This hands-on learning experience prepares students to succeed in the innovative and fast-paced motorsport industry.

We work with local partners to ensure opportunities are made available to all – regardless of background and experience in the industry. This program is most relevant for university students with a strong desire to work in the field.
