After clinching the 2024 Drivers’ title but narrowly missing out on doing the double, Rodin Motorsport will be aiming to deliver both sets of silverware this time around.
Welcoming an all-new line-up, rookies Emma Felbermayr and Ella Lloyd are partnering up with 2023 returnee Chloe Chong. Race winners on nine occasions last year, courtesy of eventual Champion Abbi Pulling, the New Zealand outfit know they’ll face stiff competition in their efforts to repeat that feat in 2025.
EMMA FELBERMAYR
Kick Sauber’s Emma Felbermayr arrives as one of the team’s two rookies but has arguably the bigger task ahead of her. Stepping into a first season of single-seaters can be a challenge for even the best of drivers, as the transition from karts to cars requires both a shift in approach and a broader skillset to manage.
The Austrian driver's early campaign in the Eurocup-4 Spanish Winter Championship gave her a solid baseline, enabling her to make further inroads during pre-season testing in Jerez and Shanghai. Whilst too much can’t be read into testing, three top-five appearances show she’s settling in nicely and further running in Spanish F4 with Rodin should smooth her transition.
Yet, adapting to Grand Prix weekends will put the 18-year-old under intense pressure on a whole new level. However, if she can focus on her running her own race in the early stages then she should flourish as the campaign progresses.
ELLA LLOYD
The second driver locked in for the 2025 season, Ella Lloyd was an early recruit for McLaren and it’s not hard to see why she caught their attention. Although she might be embarking on her rookie F1 ACADEMY campaign, the British driver has already gotten a feel for what she needs to do to perform in the series after her Singapore Wild Card appearance last year.

Diving straight in at the deep end with only one Free Practice session around the Marina Bay Street Circuit, Lloyd acclimatised quickly to her new surroundings. Qualifying in eighth for both races, she managed to net points-scoring finishes in two demanding races.
Based on this, Lloyd has show she’s capable of delivering and holding her own with the season’s frontrunners. All the more impressive given the fact that Lloyd started off racing in cars three years ago, rather than honing her craft through the karting route taken by most young drivers.
Combining her F1 ACADEMY season with a return to British F4, off the back of her 11th-place finish in the Standings last year, Lloyd is setting herself up well to go even better in 2025.
CHLOE CHONG
For Chloe Chong, she’ll be hoping that the second time’s the charm in F1 ACADEMY. Much has changed since her last appearance in the series at Austin in 2023, not least the British driver herself.

The youngest in the field two years ago, flashes of potential were there. Her first season in single-seaters delivered six points-scoring results, including three personal best finishes of P6 in Spielberg, Valencia and Austin.
Spending a season away in British F4, Chong showed a marked improvement from where she’d ended the previous year. Translating that on to the track in F1 ACADEMY won’t be straightforward, with the Circuit Zandvoort being the only returning venue from 2023, but the Charlotte Tilbury driver won’t want to waste a second chance at success.
After seeing the Teams’ title slip out of their grasp towards the end of last season, Rodin will have full faith that their decision to balance of raw potential and experience can help them finally bring it home.
