Lining up in fourth, she was dogged in her pursuit, making her way up to second on the opening lap. Trying to pile the pressure on race leader Nina Gademan, she benefitted from the Alpine driver’s retirement to inherit the lead with two laps to go and fended off teammate Chloe Chambers for the victory.

In a league of her own from the early stages, Weug was untouchable at the top of the timing sheets, extending her personal bests to an unbeatable 2:03.379. Pin had to settle for second, with third-place Alba Larsen shining in her maiden Qualifying session.

It was a 1-2 finish for PREMA Racing with Aston Martin’s Tina Hausmann less than a tenth behind in second while Chloe Chambers completed the top three for Red Bull Ford.
