Maya Weug was the driver to beat on the third and final day of in-season testing in Jeddah. The Ferrari driver made the most of the final minutes of running, setting a 2:05.405 to finish a tenth ahead of Chloe Chambers, who earned back-to-back P2 finishes.
By contrast, Lia Block’s early running paid off in the opening session as the Williams driver topped the times with a 2:05.824.
SESSION 1
Despite a pre-session shower leaving a several damp patches out on track, Nicole Havrda kicked off the final day with a 2:13.613. Improving over the next five laps, the American Express driver set the early benchmark in the 2:08s.
Fellow rookie Ella Lloyd soon assumed the top spot on a 2:06.902, before Block went faster by 0.199s. Back to back personal bests saw Lloyd regain the lead, but the two continue to trade fastest times until Block became the first driver to break into the 2:05s.
Doriane Pin improved her time to move up in second, 0.212s down on the Williams driver’s effort. Chambers was next to break into the top two, lifting herself above the #28 Mercedes driver, a tenth behind Block.
Race simulations were the order of business for the next hour and a half, in between stints in the pits. Running began to ramp back up for the final 30 minutes of the morning segment, but nobody could catch Block’s 2:05.824.
Chambers was her closest competitor, with Lloyd improving on her final lap to close to within 0.057s off the Red Bull Ford driver in third. Pin was fourth ahead of Palmowski in fifth and MP Motorsport’s Weug and Alba Larsen. Tina Hausmann split the pair from their teammate Joanne Ciconte in P9, whilst Emma Felbermayr capped off the top 10 for Kick Sauber.
SESSION 2
Hitech TGR were the first team to head out with Aiva Anagnostiadis opening the afternoon’s running on a 2:10.442. Havrda moved herself ahead of her teammate and continued to bring the time to beat down to a 2:07.990 over the next 20 minutes.

Lloyd then went 1.1s clear of the American Express driver to go top of the times, improving on her next lap to a 2:06.397. Chambers was next to take the lead, as the American went fastest on a 2:06.655 before posting a time within the 2:05s to go half a second clear.
Her advantage was reduced to 0.053s by Weug, who subsequently jumped up into P1 spot on a 2:05.655, only to be immediately beaten by Palmowski.
Times continued to tumble as Weug put her Ferrari car top by 0.036s, bettering her time to 2:05.567. Behind them, Chambers and Ciconte slotted into third and fourth, a further three tenths back from Palmowski.
The top three became separated by only 0.057s as Lloyd lifted herself into third, whilst Larsen took advantage of a quieter second hour to move into fifth.
Into the final minutes of testing, Weug headed back out on track and extended her advantage to almost two tenths, posting a 2:05.405. Lloyd looked to have claimed second, but was jumped by Chambers as the chequered flag came out.
Palmowski put her #21 car into fourth ahead Larsen and Ciconte, who ensured all three MP Motorsport cars finished inside the top six in fifth and sixth, respectively. Seventh-placed Block was followed by the two PREMA Racing cars of Pin and Hausmann, whilst Felbermayr rounded out her first trip to Jeddah in P10 once again, 1.127s adrift of pace-setter Weug.
