MAYA WEUG

Looking to take the Prancing Horse to new heights in 2025, Maya Weug will want to be a force to be reckoned with after her third-place finish last season.

Born in Spain but racing once again under the Dutch flag, Weug was crowned Vice Champion in the 2015 Spanish Karting Championship and more silverware came quickly as Weug triumphed in the 2016 WSK Final Cup in the 60 Mini category.

Five years later, she wrote her name into the history books when she won the inaugural FIA Girls on Track – Rising Stars programme and became the first female driver to be inducted into the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy.

Progressing up to single-seaters, she brought home points in her debut Italian and German F4 campaigns, finishing seventh in the Italian series’ Rookies Cup. Participating in the 2023 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine season, she secured one rookie victory alongside several top 10 finishes.

Racing for Ferrari in the Italian outfit’s legendary red colour scheme, the 20-year-old fought hard last season, taking her long-awaited maiden single-seater win in Race 3 at Yas Marina alongside an additional seven podiums. Now teaming up with compatriots MP Motorsport, Weug will look to take all the wisdom she’s gained from 2024 and turn it into a 2025 title charge.
