One Drivers’ title, two Teams’ titles and with 13 wins to their name across two seasons, PREMA Racing are the team with the biggest record to defend heading into the 2025 season.
Buoyed by two strong previous campaigns and with three familiar faces in their line-up, the Italian squad are aiming to add more wins to their tally and recover the Drivers’ title they and Doriane Pin missed out on last year.
Retaining Pin alongside Aston Martin’s Tina Hausmann, PREMA have brought in Alpine’s Nina Gademan to strengthen their line-up, but will they remain such a formidable force this year?
The only new addition to the team, Nina Gademan embarks on her first full F1 ACADEMY campaign, but the Alpine driver has already given fans a flavour of what to expect from her this season.
Competing as the Wild Card in Zandvoort last year, the Dutch driver seemed right at home as she qualified sixth for both races. Enjoying two note-worthy performances, Gademan claimed an impressive fourth in Race 1 — becoming the first Wild Card driver to score points in the series — and added on a P10 finish in Race 2.
If there was only one blip to her performance in Zandvoort, it was the 21-year-old’s penalty for causing a collision with Aurelia Nobels in Race 2, which cost her a potential P4 finish. Executing clean races and managing how unpredictable race weekends are will be vital to getting a leg up on her rivals, particularly if the point margins are tight.

Gademan’s experience in British F4 last season should stand in her good stead, alongside early preparations over the break in Formula Winter Series. Five points finishes in nine races and seven Female Trophy wins should boost her confidence and give her momentum to carry through into her F1 ACADEMY campaign.
Tina Hausmann returns for her sophomore season and based off her end-of-season performance in Abu Dhabi, she should be a much stronger competitor a second time around.
She opened her account in fine form, netting a P6 finish in the opening race in Jeddah, but struggled to match the same heights on a regular basis. Occasionally finding herself caught up in contact from others, the Aston Martin driver lost out on valuable points with seven top-10 finishes out of a possible 14.
When they did come through, Hausmann found herself at the tail end of the top 10, unable to fully translate her Qualifying performance into race pace. However, her P4 finish in Race 3 in Abu Dhabi could be a sign of things to come from the Swiss racer.

Qualifying in P9, Hausmann seemed the most at ease behind the wheel she’d been all year, balancing the need to move forward with managing the scramble of action surrounding her. Well-adapted to her surroundings now, the final race of last season should give Hausmann a decent starting point to propel her towards the podium.
To put it simply, there has to be only one goal for Doriane Pin this season — the title. The favourite for glory, Pin finished runner-up to Abbi Pulling by 121 points in 2024. After an impressive start with victory in the Jeddah season opener, podiums in Miami followed before an underwhelming visit to Barcelona netted only P7 and P5 finishes.
Classing those as disappointing weekends shows the high bar Pin has set for herself. Two further wins in Zandvoort and Lusail bolstered her record, with a further three podiums keeping her ahead of Maya Weug in the Drivers’ Standings and helping PREMA Racing to take back-to-back Teams’ titles.
There’s little doubt of Pin’s natural talent and with a season’s experience under her belt, it’ll just be a matter of ironing out those small errors that hampered her rookie campaign, such as a false start in Zandvoort Race 1.

Combining her return to F1 ACADEMY with a second season in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine, the Mercedes junior has a full-on year ahead of her.
Based off their impressive record, there’s no reason to think PREMA can’t be at the sharp end of the grid once again and challenge for both titles. However, they’ll face stiff competition to get there and won’t be underestimating their rivals for a second.
